Staff Positions

Seasonal Steward - We are hiring a summer seasonal steward to assist with Facilities and Grounds Maintenance at both SNARL and Valentine.  Under supervision of the Reserve Director, employee maintains and repairs infrastructure, equipment, and grounds of theValentine Eastern Sierra Reserves. Employee also assists in logistical support of projects, programs, and visitors using the Reserve.The position is full time from May to October.  For more details and to apply (Job ID: 31399)

Administrative Assistant - We are hiring a part-time (40%) Administrative Assistant to assist with reserve administration and management. The person in this position will serve as the Administrative Assistant for the UCSB Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserves, and acts as first point of contact for reserve users, including scheduling use of reserve facilities and orienting users. Responsible for answering phones and emails, and managing reservations and scheduling use and general upkeep of reserve facilities. Communication and Outreach Coordinator - We are hiring a part-time (40%) Communication and Outreach Coordinator. The person in this position will manage and coordinates reserve outreach and communications platforms, including the reserve website and social media, public use, and volunteer activities. Provides support for outreach and special events and resource management projects. Prepares quarterly and annual activity reports and maintains bibliographic information related to research.
